Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Blue Oyster, we are committed to providing exceptional travel experiences. As most of our services—such as accommodation, tours, and transportation—are prepaid to trusted third-party vendors, cancellations or changes often result in charges. This policy outlines your rights and obligations regarding cancellations and refunds.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

2.1 How to Cancel: All cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent via email to support@blueoyster.co during working hours on business days. Cancellation is only considered effective upon written acknowledgment from Blue Oyster.
2.2 Cancellation Charges: 46 days and above: 10% of total tour cost or supplier actuals (with evidence). 30–45 days: 25% of total tour cost or supplier actuals. 21–29 days: 50% of total tour cost or supplier actuals. 11–20 days: 75% of total tour cost or supplier actuals. 0–10 days / no-show: 100% of total tour cost.
Note: The above percentages are calculated on the total invoiced amount, inclusive of booking fees excluding TCS. If your travel date is undecided at the time of cancellation, cancellation charges will still apply. TCS is an additional amount collected as tax at the time of sale and remitted to the government. You can claim the TCS amount while filing for your annual income tax returns (ITR). No refund of TCS shall be issued.
2.3 Chardham Sector (Except Kedarnath Stay): Cancellation requests must be sent to us by email only. 40–30 days prior to departure: 30% of the tour cost. 29–15 days prior to departure: 50% of the tour cost. 14 days prior or No Show: 100% of the tour cost. 100% cancellation charges for Kedarnath stay once booking is confirmed.
2.4 Cruise Bookings: Cruise bookings are non-refundable. 100% of the cruise cost will be forfeited in case of cancellation, regardless of the notice period.
2.5 Visa Rejections: In the event of visa refusal, cancellation charges will still apply based on when the written rejection notice is received by us. No exceptions will be made if notice is not received prior to the departure date.
Note: Cancellation policy is subject to amendment as per the hotel policy applicable at the time of booking. Kedarnath accommodation will be non-refundable once paid or confirmed or blocked.
